The humble lawn with such an important role

First_cut_of_the_lawnWe care so passionately about lawns, and not just because we make a living from them.

No, the lawn is part of a vast eco system that is vitally important to how our world exists and flourishes.

The lawn, above, in and below the ground, is a breeding ground and support for so many species of insects and grubs which are all part of a very important food chain.

Whilst we advise that certain pests are eradicated from the actual lawn surface, we do recommend that you try and set aside areas that can assist in creating the right balance.

It has been noted many times previously about the decline in bird population due the the decreased number of lawns and open grass areas.

It is a worrying thought that flooding will increase and bird populations continue to decline, just because the decline of the lowly lawn.

You can play a big part in restoring the status quo by installing or adequately maintaining a lawn.
