Will Lawn Art ever catch on?

Lawn_art_2I had to chuckle at the news story in the daily mail today about Tania Ledger who had a picture of the Mona Lisa created in her lawn.

Does this mean that we are going to see an explosion of lawn art all over the country? I do hope not because I can foresee a host of problems when it comes to lawn maintenance.

I once used sulphate of iron to create a large smiley face in a clients lawn using a knapasack.

The man of the house thought it hilarious but his wife, the keener gardener of the two was not impressed and the embarrassing thing was the dark green face with winking eye took several weeks to blend back into the not so green surroundings.

What about you - are you planning some lawn art and do you think it will catch on?
