Revolutionary lawn patching kit - grows grass anywhere

Miracle Gro - Patch Magic Getting the results you want when seeding your lawn can be a challenge, especially in tough areas such as harsh sun, dense shade and trampled lawns. That’s why Miracle-Gro created Patch Magic.

This award-winning product has a revolutionary combination of grass seed, Miracle-Gro Plant Food and coir that actually expands to surround and protect the seed.

Your local Garden Centre and DIY warehouse shelves are full of lawn repair kits and along comes a product that might actually work. Revolutionary Miracle-Gro Patch Magic Grass Seed, Feed & Coir grows grass seed anywhere – guaranteed. Triple action coir, superior quality seed and Miracle-Gro Plant Food produces 50% thicker grass with half the watering.

To repair a patch in your lawn remove the dead grass and loosen the soil with a garden rake. Apply 3mm of Patch Magic over bare patches, or 1.5mm over thin areas of grass. Water in until it turns dark brown and begins to expand. The unique compressed coir material absorbs water like a sponge, expanding instantly and changing colour to show it is surrounding each seed in a dark, moist, protective layer. It continues to care for the seeds, providing them with nutrients and holding water right next to the seed. This improves establishment offering a patching mix that really works.

Miracle-Gro Patch Magic. The only patching mix that takes care of the seed for you, so you can grow thick, beautiful grass ANYWHERE! Just apply, add water and let it start to work. Coir is a unique, super-absorbent, growing material that acts like topsoil - only better! Miracle-Gro Patch Magic coir absorbs 8 times its weight in water like a sponge, and expands 4 times its volume to surround the seeds in a moist, protective layer. It continues to care for the seeds, providing them with water and nutrients, so they build stronger roots that survive tough conditions.

Miracle-Gro Patch Magic even tells you when to add water! When it turns light brown, add water until dark brown.

I have though long and hard about a suitable use for this product and come up with the idea that it may be useful for repairing Dog Urine Burns. I often have to repair my lawns with over 90 'spots' per month and hate adding soil to a soil based compost at the dogs then pick up on the soil element and bring this back into the house. I use a combination of Dog Rocks and also a product available from The Dog Urine Burn web site that is a natural product you spray on your pets food. It works and now the 'spots' are not quite as bad as they could have been, especially outside of the growing season. The Dog Urine Burn web site also sells a really great repair mixture based upon paper-mache pellets and seed rather than something that is used for constructing door mats and it is a lot cheaper and will work for small repairs to the lawn too.
