Royal Wedding Party in the Garden Preparation

Royal Wedding Garden Party Just in case you have been away out of the UK and had little access to the media for the past 6 months or so, we will all be aware that there will be a Royal Wedding on Friday 29th April.

We like so many others, wish HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton every bit of good luck for their wedding day and life together.  People around the World will be celebrating including the in UK, enjoying an additional Bank Holiday and an extended weekend with the Monday off to recover.

No doubt there will be some wedding photos on the lawns of Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace and the Royal Household Gardening Team will be putting the final finishes to the Palace lawns to make them look fantastic on the very special day.  The whole World will be watching so little margin for error!  To be honest they always look great and The Team at The Lawn Company have had a hand keeping both Westminster Abbey and Royal Household lawns looking that way.

If you are toying with the idea of having a bit of a Royal Wedding Garden Party at home, now is the time to get the lawns ship shape.  Work this weekend will pay handsome dividends.  You cannot expect to not mow them for weeks or months, then get the mower out and expect them to look fabulous 24 hours after you initially mowed them.  You would just be asking too much.

Mow your lawns and wait two to three days and then kill the moss and weeds and give the lawns a feed with Granular Fertiliser.  Wait two weeks and then mow again and as a simple fix, they should be looking so much better by the 29th April.  If all else fails and you want to green them up quickly, apply a Soluble Iron which will provide some great almost instant colour ahead of your garden party.  Mowing is of course important too.

Then plan to get the tables and chairs out, the Union Flag bunting, the BBQ on and  the beers and wine chilled and relax out in the garden with the televison on or internet streaming and be proud to be a part of it.
