Taking a gamble on Turf

Grassclippings - Ascot Race CourseRoyal Ascot is one of the pinnacle events of the summer social season and the racecourse will be playing its part, in this historic year, in celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The Royal Meeting staged from today will certainly be one of the must-attend events of the year to enjoy all of the pageantry and history of a quintessentially British day out on 'the turf'.

With the racecourse decked in no less than four kilometres of bunting, nowhere will the country’s passion and admiration for the Royal Family in this Diamond Jubilee year be more obviously and enthusiastically celebrated than at Royal Ascot.

The question on everyone’s lips will be: Will The Queen have a Royal Ascot winner to add to the 20 that have gone before?

The important point to make here is to draw your attention towards the skill and dedication of The Clerk of The Course and The Ground Manager and their Teams in presenting such a fabulous race track on natural turf and that may be enjoyed by all the visitors.  Very well done and let's hope the rain holds off and vistors strike it lucky when placing a bet or two!
