Using a Garden Sprayer
Picking up a knapsack sprayer for the first time and wondering how to calibrate it can be a scary moment for any lawn owner.
Lawn owners and gardeners will soon be reaching for theirs to apply a soluble iron for moss control, a lawn worm cast suppressant or maybe some total weed control to tidy the garden up a bit.
Thankfully you can apply a little maths to the product label and be advised how much product to mix in how much water and then applied to so many square metres. Liken your lawn to applying paint to a wall. Apply the paint incorrectly and you will still see the old colour underneath. With lawn treatment products you cannot always apply another coat quite so soon after the first attempt.
The biggest problem arises when you are unsure how many square metres one tankful of your chosen knapsack or lawn and garden sprayer will apply to ensure you are following the label correctly, but most importantly, achieving the desired results. It is easy to blame the product instead and lose faith in it. Fertiliser spreaders have to e calibrated too.
The use of Indigo Garden Spray Dye will help you see where you have and have not sprayed! A bit like painting by numbers...
