Fusarium Disease on turf usually appears as small orange/brown circular spots of approx 50mm in diameter, which under favourable conditions may join together with other affected areas and completely cover a lawn.
Under humid, still conditions, you will notice a white, grey cotton wool like mycelium forming as a small mound on the surface of the lawn. You will note an orange brown tinge to the circumference of the affected areas with mushy matted grass within.
Early diagnosis is important.
Sure, Fusarium being one of the largest, most diverse and pathologically important genus its good to understand it in order to be able to detect it early and control it. Farmers should be educated and trained on how to go about this disease any time they come across such symptoms on their crops

Early diagnosis for any disease is important and will determine how adversely its effects are.

This is the first time that I read an article regarding a disease coming from your lawn. I am glad I was able to read your educational post. I will have more research regarding this matter and how to avoid it.
Reply - thanks!
